A computer technician from Sorsogon has become the newest multi-millionaire after bagging the ₱49.5-million jackpot prize in the Ultra Lotto 6/58 draw held on Sunday, September 14, 2025.
According to the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO), the winning ticket was purchased at a lotto outlet inside SM City Sorsogon, located along Maharlika Highway in Balogo. The lucky combination — 5-17-18-02-45-57 — was generated through a Lucky Pick.
The winner, who requested anonymity, shared that he has been a regular lotto player for the past five years and never expected that one ticket would change his life.
With this latest win, the Sorsogon bettor joins the growing list of Filipinos whose fortunes have been transformed through PCSO’s official lottery games — a reminder that even the smallest bet can bring both hope and change.
Under the Tax Reform for Acceleration and Inclusion (TRAIN) Law, all lotto winnings exceeding ₱10,000 are subject to a 20% tax deduction, automatically withheld before the prize is released.
