In an announcement, PCSO said the updated prize structure aims to make every draw more exciting and give each ticket greater life-changing potential from the start.

The PCSO clarified that the progressive jackpot system remains unchanged, meaning the prize will continue to grow if no bettor matches all six winning numbers.

PCSO General Manager Mel Robles said the higher starting jackpots are part of the agency’s efforts to make each draw more rewarding for players.

“If no winner is declared, the jackpot continues to increase, reaching even more substantial amounts until a lucky player wins,” Robles explained.

Bigger consolation prizes

Aside from the jackpots, consolation prizes for players who match five (5) or four (4) numbers will also increase.

For instance, in Lotto 6/42, the consolation prize is now at least ₱1 million for four winning numbers, to be shared equally among all winners. Similar adjustments will apply across other lotto games under the new prize matrix.
