Davao de Oro, Quezon bettors split Php 6M Lotto 6/42 jackpot

Bettors from Davao de Oro and Quezon hit the jackpot in the PCSO Lotto 6/42 winning Php 6.2 million on Saturday, April 5, 2025.

MANILA, Philippines – Two bettors from Davao de Oro and Quezon province hit the jackpot in the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office’s Lotto 6/42 winning Php 6.2 million on Saturday, April 5, 2025.

PCSO said the bettor guessed the winning combination of 11-10-05-42-24-39. The total jackpot prize was Php 6,184,178.80.

The winning tickets were purchased from a lotto outlet at Compostela Public Market, Davao de Oro and Barangay Talipan in Pagbilao, Quezon.

Because of taxes, as provided by the TRAIN Law, lotto winnings are subject to 20 percent tax. This means, Php 1,236,835.76 would be deducted from their winnings.

Aside from the lucky winner, 42 other bettors won P24,000 each for getting at least 5 digits correctly in the winning combination.

Meanwhile, 1,763 players guessed four of the six winning combination and they will get Php 800 each. 24,678 players won Php 20 each (balik-taya) for guessing three numbers.

The Lotto 6/42 was last won on April 1, 2025 by a solo bettor who bought winning ticket from a lotto outlet in Catmon, Cebu.

The Lotto 6/42 is drawn every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday.

PCSO General Manager Melquiades Robles urged the public to support the agency’s gaming products. This is to raise additional revenue for health initiatives, medical services, and other national charities.

How to claim lotto prize?

Winners must write their names and signature on the back of the winning tickets. Then, they need to present two government-issued identification cards or documents.

Winners have one year from the date of the draw to claim the prize. This was specified in Republic Act 1169, the law on PCSO lotteries.

As provided under the Tax Reform for Acceleration and Inclusion law, lotto winnings of more than P10,000 shall be subject to a 20% tax.
