MANILA, Philippines – Lone bettor from Cebu hit the jackpot in the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office’s Lotto 6/42 winning Php 19.4 million on Tuesday, April 1, 2025.
PCSO said the bettor guessed the winning combination of 23-05-39-11-02-07. The total jackpot prize was Php 19,410,097.00.
The ticket was bought from a lotto outlet at A&G Square, Catmon, Cebu.
Because of taxes, as provided by the TRAIN Law, lotto winnings are subject to 20 percent tax. This means, Php 3,882,019.40 would be deducted from the winnings.
Aside from the lucky winner, 33 other bettors won P24,000 each for getting at least 5 digits correctly in the winning combination.
Meanwhile, 1,823 players guessed four of the six winning combination and they will get Php 800 each. 24,750 players won Php 20 each (balik-taya) for guessing three numbers.
The Lotto 6/42 was last won on March 18, 2025 by a solo bettor who bought winning ticket from a lotto outlet in SM North EDSA, Quezon City.
The Lotto 6/42 is drawn every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday.
PCSO General Manager Melquiades Robles urged the public to support the agency’s gaming products. This is to raise additional revenue for health initiatives, medical services, and other national charities.
How to claim lotto prize?
Winners must write their names and signature on the back of the winning tickets. Then, they need to present two government-issued identification cards or documents.
Winners have one year from the date of the draw to claim the prize. This was specified in Republic Act 1169, the law on PCSO lotteries.
As provided under the Tax Reform for Acceleration and Inclusion law, lotto winnings of more than P10,000 shall be subject to a 20% tax.
