Retired seaman picks Mega Lotto winning combination through ‘bingo’

MANILA, Philippines – A retired seaman from Negros Occidental and one of the two lucky winners of the Mega Lotto 6/45, drawn on February 1, 2023, rushed to the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) at the Conservatory Building in Mandaluyong City to claim half of the 73,481,247.20 jackpot prize he won with his winning combination 37–29–42–21–27–05.

He is an avid patron of the Lotto games since 2003, and according to him he got his winning number combination mimicking a Bingo game, saying, “Twenty years na po akong tumataya ng lotto.

He plans to put up his own business in Negros Occidental and to save part of his winnings in a bank for the future of his family, “Gusto ko po palakihin yung aking maliit na sari-sari store at magtayo ng sarili kong business sa probinsya tapos ilalagay ko sa bangko yung matitira para sa pamilya ko. Mahirap po maging mahirap.” he uttered with teary eyes.

He also expressed his gratitude to PCSO by saying, “Thank you po sa PCSO kasi sobrang dami po ninyong natutulungan.

On the same day, a 62-year-old retired government employee from the province of Isabela claimed the jackpot prize of 5,940,000.00 he won from the Lotto 6/42, drawn on February 2, 2023, at the PCSO Main Office in Shaw Boulevard, Mandaluyong City.

The lucky winner bought his ticket in a lotto outlet in Tumauini, Isabela and picked his winning number combination 02 – 27 – 16 – 29 – 04 – 19 from the birthdates of his parents and children.
