Tacloban bettor wins P35.4-million Grand Lotto jackpot

MANILA, Philippines – One lucky bettor from Leyte bagged the Php 35.4 million jackpot prize of Saturday night, October 22, 2022 Grand Lotto 6/55 draw.

In an advisory, the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) announced on Sunday that the winner will take home the Php 35,410,477.80 jackpot prize.

The winning combination was 44-50-07-52-46-36 and the lucky ticket was purchased in Tacloban City, Leyte.

Five bettors who guessed five correct numbers won second prize and will receive PHP100,000 each.

Meanwhile, 239 players guessed four of the six winning combination and they will get Php 1,500 each. 5,611 players won Php 60 each for guessing three numbers.

To claim his/her check, the bettor must go to the PCSO’s main office in Mandaluyong City and present the winning ticket and two ID cards.

As provided under the Tax Reform for Acceleration and Inclusion law, lotto winnings of more than P10,000 shall be subject to a 20% tax.

The Grand Lotto 6/55 was last won on October 1, 2022 by 433 bettors. This became controversial, which prompted PCSO to conduct press conference a day after the draw to clear things up.

The Grand Lotto 6/55 is drawn every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday.

PCSO urged the public to keep on patronizing their games to generate more funds for health programs, medical assistance and services, and charities.

The PCSO is the principal government agency for raising and providing funds for health programs, medical assistance and services, and charities of national character.
